Biography:
Javier Trapero is creative, passionate about communication, his family and Christ (not always in this order). He specialises in transmedia storytelling and social awareness communication. With a degree in Information Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid, he began his professional career 30 years ago at Cadena Cope, the radio station of the Spanish Episcopal Conference, and has worked in different media, radio stations, newspapers, magazines, websites… He founded his own company “esfera creativa” and a social organisation “espíritu social”, with which he collaborated with Salesianos and Carmelitas Teresas de San José.
He currently works as director of communication for the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart, Province of Spain. He is the director of the magazine “Madre y Maestra” and is responsible for the relationship with the media and communication supports.
He is also the director of a Postgraduate in Transmedia Storytelling at IEBS Business School and a professor of the Master ‘Gamification and Transmedia Storytelling’.
