Abzalón has a Masters in Theology as well as a PhD in Psychotherapy. He has worked in parishes in Nicaragua. He lectured on the Theology of Religious Life. He has been a formator and promotor of vocations in his province. he was elected as Superior General at the 2017 General Chapter.
