André has qualifications in philosophy and theology from KUL (Leuven) and the Institut Catholique of Paris. He also undertook a course in Intensive Personal Development in St. Anselm’s Institute UK. He has worked in Congo (72-74; 79-83) and in the UAF. He was at one time superior of the Scholasticate in Yaoundé (Cameroon) (1984-1992; 1994-96) and lecturer at Ecole Théologique St. Cyprian and Interdiocesan Major Seminary.

He has been the Executive Secretary of the Africa Europe Faith and Justice Network (AEFJN) in Brussels and is currently president.

He was parish priest (1999-2017) and provincial of the Belgium Province (2004-2017), is currently a member of the Financial Advisory Board (FAB) and is JPIC promotor and vicar general of the Congregation.

He likes cycling.
