Biography:
I am Benjamin Antonius Laisina. My nickname is Benny. I came from Indonesia. I was born in Ujung Pandang – South Sulawesi on June 13, 1972. Then I grew up and studied in Manado – North Sulawesi. Before priestly ordination I studied in the Major Seminary – the MSC Scholasticate in Pineleng Manado – North Sulawesi, Indonesia. I was ordained in Manado on May 25, 2002, together with five MSC confreres and four diocesans. I and my colleagues were ordained by Mgr. Josef Suwatan MSC, bishop of Manado Diocese at that time.
After the ordination I worked as formator – socius in Novitiate of MSC in Karanganyar – Central Java, Indonesia. I worked there together with three confreres as a team of formators to accompany our novices. When I worked in the Novitiate, we formators helped to celebrate mass in two parishes close to our Novitiate. It was a good experience because we could have interaction and relationship with the parishes and not only with our novices.
After working in Novitiate for some years my Provincial Superior asked me to study economics-finance. I accepted this duty and continued to study economics-finance for master’s degree. After completing my studies, I was asked to work as provincial bursar. I lived in our provincial house in Jakarta and worked as provincial bursar for some years. In October 2020 I came to Rome Italy because General Superior asked me to work as General Bursar. I accepted this duty and responsibility and I work as General Bursar until this time.
Ametur.
