I was born into a Church of England family but attended Princethorpe College, our MSC School in England, from 11-18 years of age.  This was my first encounter with the MSC.  I was received into the Catholic Church the day after my 18th birthday and, after two years working in banking, entered the MSC pre-novitaite in Ireland when I was 21.   While I was still a student studying theology, Fr Kees Braun MSC, Superior General, noticed that I could speak French and asked me to translate for the Valladolid General Conference of 1991.  This introduced me to the wider Congregation and began a journey of deep Congregational engagement which has been a wonderfully enriching experience.  I served as Secretary of PEC for 10 years and have participated in four previous General Chapters and four General Conferences.  My most fulfilling period of pastoral ministry was when I was a member of the Cordate community in the UK.  In 2011 I was elected to the General Council and in 2017 I was elected as Provincial of the Irish Province.  I will finish this appointment at the end of July 2023 and look forward to commencing a time of sabbatical.

I enjoy theatre, art, music, photography, walking and cooking.  My mother is still living in England, and I have one sister.
