I got a doctorate in liturgical theology at the Liturgical Institute of Sant’Anselmo, Rome, in 1973. I taught theology in the MSC Scholasticate and in the Milltown Institute in Dublin.
I served as Provincial in Ireland from 1981 to 1987 and worked in Venezuela from 1988 to 1993. I was then elected as Superior General for a period of twelve years. I returned to Ireland, where I continue to work in the pastoral field.
